Mr. Daniel Davis is the Principal attorney of Davis Law Firm. Previously a shareholder for 8 years at Dallas' Winstead Sechrest & Minick, and for 10 years prior to that a partner at Dallas' Gardere & Wynne, Mr. Davis' career has been devoted to trials of complex cases in Federal and State Courts.
Mr. Davis received his law degree at George Washington University, Washington, D.C. Mr. Davis received his license to practice law in Ohio in 1978 and in Texas in 1981, and for over 20 years has represented a variety of contractors, manufacturers and business clients in courts throughout Texas, as well as the rest of the Nation.
Mr. Davis' experience includes representation of general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and suppliers in a variety of contexts. Mr. Davis has also acted as Plantiff's trial counsel in complex litigation ranging from aircraft development to theft of intellectual property.
Mr. Davis has considerable experience representing commercial clients in such matters as commercial aviation, insurance bad faith, intellectual property litigation, Environmental and Superfund litigation, and a variety of other business disputes.
Mr. Davis was born in Youngstown, Ohio on December 30, 1949. He attended Ohio University and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974 and Master of Arts degree in 1975. Mr. Davis earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence with honors from George Washington University in 1978. He was admitted to the Ohio bar in 1978 and the Texas bar in 1981. Mr. Davis is also admitted to practice before the U. S. Supreme Court, the 5th and 6th U. S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, and the U. S. District Court for the Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern Districts of Texas.
Mr. Davis is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Dallas Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Bar Association serving on the Litigation Section Subcommittee for Construction Litigation.
